Event Details and Rules

Date and Time:
September 9-12th During Open Beta

Who Can Enter:
Anyone. You must sign up for the New World Open Beta anytime after 10 am ET on September 8th on the New World Steam Page and you will have access to the open beta from September 9th-12th while the open beta is live. Even if you have pre-ordered the game you still must sign up for this beta to gain access.

Scoring:
We are using the “Catch-Screenshot-Measure” method. That is once you catch the fish, take a screenshot of the stats that come up on your screen (as seen below) and submit your best 3 screenshots to [email protected]

You will have a photo submission deadline that must be adhered to. The deadline time means your photos are RECEIVED by the tournament officials by that time. Not the time your fish was caught or your picture was sent. Do not wait till the last minute to submit and assume the officials have your photos. Please plan accordingly. If your submissions are late you will be disqualified. Photos must be submitted by September 12th midnight ET to Qualify, the winner will be announced on September 13th on the Forums.

Eligible Fishing Methods:
All fish must be caught during the hours of competition.
Lures/Bait may be used

Sportsmanship:
This is all about having a good time on the river so it is important that all anglers adhere to a high standard of sportsmanship that portrays our sport in a positive light.

HAVE FUN:
Remember, winning is not something you can completely control, because there is no way to play defense in this sport. All you can control is your fishing and your attitude….so relax, have fun, and enjoy your time on the water and in-game.
