Default Incredibly Annoying Issue With Crashing in Certain Games

    Hey folks.

I just bought a new PC, and in two games (Tarkov and Overwatch), I crash out of the game. The event viewer shows this: Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

And it's almost always accompanied by this:
    Fault bucket , type 0
    Event Name: LiveKernelEvent
    Response: Not available
    Cab Id: 0

    Problem signature:

    P6: 10_0_19042
    P7: 0_0
    P8: 768_1
    P9:
    P10:

At this point, I'll try just about anything. I've disabled hardware acceleration in anything running in the background, clean removed drivers with DDU and reinstalled, and also ensured that the PC is set to prefer maximum performance in power management. I've also ran a 30 minute FurMark test and it didn't crash or anything, so I have no idea what's going on...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Specs are:
    GeForce RTX 3070
    i7 10700
    16gb ram
    750w psu

So I will share an issue I had with random crashing on games with a GPU this past year. Maybe, just maybe, it could be the same problem.

I had a 5700 xt installed and would get random crashes in games like BFV. Drove me nuts. Came to find out that because I was using a GPU Power cable that just had 2 8-pin ends wired in series it was not properly delivering the power it needed. Would cause the card to crash when it got overworked. As soon as I used a proper second GPU Power cable, ensuring that my PSU supplied power on seperate channels to each of those cables, my crashing issues disappeared immediately. It went strong until I got my 3070 a few months ago.

Hopefully this might be of help.

    That's an easy fix.

That's a hardware error as your hardware is not updated to the max or improper.
Improper, you ask? If you skipped certain updates on certain hardware, you're gonna have problems.

How I can tell is from my inner geekiness reading your error message,
as I'll translate a little better for you.

Geekout Let's Geek Out Our PC!!

Okay, Geek...I man cobalt how you fix it??

    Download snappy drivers software.
This software was made by ex-employees of Microsoft.

    • Make a folder in your Documents
    • Name it Snappy Drivers
    • Open it and extract the files in the Snappy Drivers Folder
    • If you have a 64-bit PC, Then open SDI_x64_R2102
    • If you have a 32-bit PC, Then open SDI_R2102
    • Open Snappy Drivers with a classic old-fashion double click
    • Then Window Defender is going to ask you to allow Snappy Driver Installer to communicate on these networks
    • Check both boxes on Private networks and Public networks and click Allow access
    • On the top of Snappy Driver, Checkoff "create a restore point"
    • Below Create a restore point is a middle/center window with a highlighted box that says "Click here to start the download" and click once on it
    • Click on the button that says "This PC Only" then look for YES on the top right-hand corner.
    • Then Click OK and it will start the download imminently.
    • Now, Recheckoff "Create a Restore Point" or just double-check its checkoff
    • Then click on Select All
    • Finally, click on Install

The last bit of this list I wanted to add -
    • After it's all done, you can double-check for new GPU Drivers and install it
    • That's all complete, you can just restart your PC and After the restart, Recheck for drivers on Snappy Drivers that say YES for those drivers
    • The button says Network Only works fine, but you have to double-check if the drivers say YES on the right or it's a risky update.
