New World Division Rules

These rules apply to the New World Division.

*Note* This is how this division is handled. We are not in charge of other divisions and will only worry about our division.
If you notice something wrong outside of the New World division inform the New World CO/XO’s so that they can take the appropriate steps.

AOD New World Division members have 4 responsibilities.

Be on Teamspeak when playing AOD Supported games

TeamSpeak:
You MUST have TeamSpeak and a microphone.
TeamSpeak is a program used for voice communication with other members during a game.
We also use TeamSpeak during our division meetings.
When playing games supported by AOD, members MUST be on TeamSpeak.

Activity:
All members are expected to take part in the division, this is part of why you joined a community after all.
The bare minimum that a member must do to keep their membership is join and play with us on Teamspeak at least once a month.
More is always encouraged of course as the more you put into our community the more you get out of the community.
Understand that we run a 90 day inactivity cycle, if we don't see or hear from you for 90 days you will be marked inactive and you will need to reapply for membership.
The forums are used to notify members of meetings, clan matches, and other important information so please remember to check the forums.
It is understood that you may not be able to play every day, due to family obligations, school, etc.; however, we encourage you to engage and participate with the community as often as possible, even if playing games besides New World.

Cheating:
We do not cheat, hack, glitch, or do/use anything that would give ourselves an unfair advantage in any multiplayer environment.
Boosting is prohibited as well as it is not an accurate description of personal achievement and rank and it devalues the dedication and hard work of others in the game as well as AOD.
Join Angels of Death with these things in mind as any member caught subverting the fairness of the game will be removed and/or banned from AOD.

Name Changes:
No member is to change their name on their main account unless otherwise permitted by New World Leadership.
We in New World have a "same forum name, same Steam ID" rule so that we are familiar with you.
Be prepared to have a valid reason to present to the CO/XO’s and your request will be taken up the appropriate channels to a MSgt+.
Simply changing your name "because I felt like it" will not be accepted.

Multi-Clanning:
ClanAOD is a unique, enduring community of PC gamers who seek a collaborative play experience with others who value honor and respect. ClanAOD has weathered many attempts to fracture our community from abroad and from within our ranks due to our collective determination and consistency with our members. As we are a highly competitive lot and want to safeguard the sense of belonging so greatly valued among our players, multi-clanning is not permitted.

Multi-clanning is defined by our community as a continued affiliation, declared or otherwise, with another gaming community that has not been approved by clan or division leadership for the purpose of benefiting ClanAOD members.

Guidance on multi-clanning:

Members shall not maintain an association with another organization whose interests conflict with those of ClanAOD or cause clan or division leadership to perceive conflicting loyalties.
Members shall not enlist in, or remain a member of, a competitive clan or gaming community that supports games identical to ClanAOD.
Members with established in-game character(s) may maintain their associations, ONLY IF: approval is obtained from division leadership, AND moving their character(s) to servers/membership with ClanAOD requires a financial expense, AND the game is not the member’s primary division, AND their characters(s) are not in the same server/realm as ClanAOD.
Members may participate and be a part of social media communities for development and outreach purposes, to promote games, and to represent ClanAOD provided that said communities do not organize themselves so as to otherwise violate these rules. This includes communities that promote streaming, Twitter, etc. This rule does not exclude monetization of one’s own activities, however, the interests of ClanAOD must always be promoted.

Regardless of other communities, a member is a part of, ClanAOD members may not supplant ClanAOD's in-game tags with another community's and are required to maintain allegiance to the clan and our Code of Conduct.

ClanAOD is a community and is only valuable when our members are engaged and have enjoyable shared experiences. That isn't possible if our membership has strong competing interests elsewhere. If you want to invest time with other groups, we respect that, but require that you respect our rules and honorably excuse yourself.

Whining and Complaining:
AOD fosters a calm and mature gaming environment.
Confrontation and drama are frowned upon here and in public forums.
We accept people 18 years and older, but all must behave maturely when here.
If there is a problem with your behavior, you may be taken aside and spoken to about it.
Don't take this the wrong way, your recruiter or Sergeant is trying to help you fit in here.
Do not whine and complain about the game that we are playing.
It takes the mood down and is counterintuitive to what we are all here for.
Play the game that you are given, not the one that you want it to be.
Workaround the limitations that are thrown at you and you will become a better player.
Constant whining in the TeamSpeak channels will not be tolerated; Instead, try to turn every negative into a positive.

Behavior:
Absolutely ZERO political, religious, racial or sexual discussions.
Be respectful to everyone at all times and be mindful that not everyone perceives things the same way as you do.

Steam and Amazon Game Studios Terms of Service:
If it is against their ToS, then we will not allow it to take place in AOD.

Infractions of any of these rules may result in rank demotion or removal from AOD.
