My PC has been having problems and I cannot tolerate it anymore. I have the parts ordered and I am replacing the motherboard, CPU, and RAM to hopefully cure my headaches once and for all. I intend on keeping the drives, GPU (ASUS STRIX 1070 8GB onboard ram), and PSU as I do not believe they are causing my problems but they will be replaced sooner or later.

My questions are, will there be any issues I can anticipate from swapping out essentially the brain of my PC? Should I clean install/factory reset my PC before swapping the parts? Does the CPU I'm getting really require water cooling?
