Adobe photoshop green edges issue

Hey guys, I am having a weird issue in adobe photoshop. I tried to google a solution, but to no avail.
If anyone could help me and find a solution to my problem, I would really appreciate it.

So, my problem is that when I edit the green edges away from my character and when I go out of the box the green edges get readded.

The Select Color Range tool is a good start but it has inherent fuzziness. Once you make a section by color, go to to the Select Menu and click Select and Mask. From there you'll want to Shift Edge in about 10-20% to capture those last few green pixels to delete. You can try messing with the other settings too but it won't take much since you already have a pretty hard edge.
