    Geekout Mechanical Keyboard Recommendations

I'm looking for recommendations for a solid mechanical keyboard for use in an office environment

Before you say it, yes I've tried Razer's work keyboard.... didn't like the feel of it :(

Cost - Anything under $300.00 CANADIAN would be acceptable.
Requirements - quiet switches & a number pad

If possible I'd like to be able to obtain it from Amazon Canada

    Thanks,

I use this one at work. Its not quiet but effective and I enjoyed it. I wanted something cheap in case anything happens to it.

I use this one at home. Reasonably quiet, comfortable and does a great job.

    Hope that helps.

Personal preference to me is to get a custom keyboard that you can swap out switches freely so you can lube them, but most boards out there mainly supply in TKL or just 60%

Though what you could get is this keyboard from drop : keyboard

Most "Gaming" Keyboards you find on amazon are just horrible and loud cherry mx linear switches
Though this one doesnt seem bad according to reviews amazon keyboard
The Keychron k4 with Gateron red switches would be a decent option to look into as well

    I use this one

It's a ten keyless so it doesn't have the number pad. It's not quiet either.

I try to go with ten keyless for the shorter footprint on my desk. I like not having to spread my arms out as much and have more room for my mouse. I find if I game with a full size keyboard I often will hit the edge of my keyboard with the mouse.

A lot of this is personal preference.

Noise is important. Especially if you live with other people and like to game late. Even working in the office I have found that some people hate the sound of keyboards and I often type fast and like to type and work on mechanical keyboards.

For this reason I switched to a Razer Blackwidow Lite with their Razer orange switches and I actually like it. It has great key movement and tactile feedback without waking the neighborhood.

Have always been loyal to Razer going back to the original Boomslang days (when that was the only thing they made), and have gone through at least 5-6 different Razer keyboards throughout the years when they started getting into 'em.

That all changed, however, last year when I nabbed my first Logitech mechanical keyboard - the full-sized G915.

I then decided to give the TKL version a go (since it was the only version they made that was white).

    Absolutely LOVE it.

They also have the "renewed" versions available for around $50 less.

I've really enjoyed the ducky one two mini and the ducky one 3 TKL. Like everyone else mentions it's a very personal decision. I've had to send back a few keyboards I wasn't fond of.

    Hey there LTCaveman,

I think this keyboard would check all your boxes.

    https://www.amazon.ca/DURGOD-Typewri...42&sr=8-5&th=1

I myself have the TKL version (no numpad). It's a great, solid keyboard. The one I linked uses Cherry Silent Red switches, which are very quiet. It also looks like an unassuming keyboard, and as of this post is $175 CAD.

    Hope this is helpful!
