Default New Force Unleashed II Mods for Jedi Academy

I uploaded a video on my youtube channel showcasing the new Force Unleashed II Mod, i unistalled MBII so i could play the single player, an its freakin awesome, TFUII may not have been what we all had hoped for but fusing together brand new custom animations along with dual sabers and the hilts and jedi academy makes for another round of single player action, heres the link to my video on youtube, i also inlcuded the links to the mods needed for the sabers and the custom animations in the description on my video

Well, it is not a Force Unleashed mod but there is also the the dreaded KOTF mod. www.kotf.com. Which is rather nice, (and is seperate from JK3 so you dont need to uninstall MB2), especially multiplayer is nice, and saber vs saber is even more deadly than MB2. However IMHO it needs it's part 2 (which is supposedly going to be released this year) to be complete.

From what I understand of KOTF, the guy steals models and coding from other mods, and puts it into his mod without permission. Also his install file, last I checked, had a trojan in it.

Well, I merely installed it at the insistence of a friend , found it nice and shared it here (and my norton didn't give off any warnings or whatsoever). Have you learned all these from the forums of kotf.com or what Dannes (because I haven't checked it)?? Though if it is true that the guy is a thief (whether it is code or skin models) I would uninstall it immediatly, just to show that I am not supporting.

I learned it from the MB2 forums. He stole a lot from MB2 including some models and coding. Even then every once in a while he has the gall to go to the MB2 Off Topic Forums to ask for support or to advertise his mod.

    Check first, though. http://forums.moviebattles.com/forumdisplay.php?f=33

i also tried kotf but my norton found 13 trojans in the files after it had installed, as far as multiplayer, there were no servers, and i had a very hard time tryin to spawn npcs, got so confused on the list, i uninstalled it cause i was getting confused as to how to keep both kotf and mbii. i just thought some ppl would enjoy this new force unleashed mod with the dual sabers and all, its not irritating getting the mod to work or confusing on what you need to do to get them to work, i just wish the backhand stance was in MBII, i chose it once and it gave me a red yoda sized JKO reborn saber

Because there's no actual power in that back hand grip. No one actually fights with the stick / sword side down. You can't strike hard with it.

You are wrong about that one. In SW Lore there is such thing is a back hand grip. It's name is Jar Shikai or something like that and according to the Extended Universe it is quite effectice too.

SW Lore and EU != reality. Try swinging a stick or foam sword (or if you're feeling brave, a real sword) both the regular way and the reverse grip that Starkiller uses. Very obvious result in which has more power behind the strike. The only reason they gave Starkiller the use of that style is for the sake of doing something new, with a hint of a badass feel.

Well, I googled it around a little bit and it seems that there are backhand grip techniques in various Sword Scools (whether be it Eastern or Western). It turns out that it is mostly used as defense, however when used to atack has more power in the strikes.

So, I say it is as viable as a normal sword technique.

I'll stick to 2 hands (maybe 1) on the normal grip.

The thing with backhand grip is that you cannot put a lot of power into it. So not very good for weighted objects, but it works quite well with knives.
And lightsabers, don't way much and don't require strength to cut through something (yes in a duel but not for cutting)

Even just cutting through something. Lightsabers are pro, but they're not 100%, no resistance insta-cut tools. If they were, Qui-gon would've no trouble cutting through that door near the start of Ep1. And yeah in a duel, saber vs saber is almost no different from sword vs sword, except a sword requires more effort/strength to cut someone's limb off.

Downloaded those mods. Damn this stuff is fun. Only annoyances I have so far are lack of some "special" saber attacks. Because of the reverse grip, rollstabs, lunges, backstabs, and pull-swings will not likely hit any target so they become a flashy waste of time :(

EDIT: ground stab (knock a target to the ground then saber attack to them) also will not hit them.

Also, I recommend this mod in addition to the ones originally posted. Not related to TFU2, but it's a good dismemberment mod. Best I've managed to find, personally.

I think Knights of the Force ( KotF) is good mod for JA, but I'm waiting for part II. There should be more add-ons and more single player missions. For now MBII is still better dann KotF

I haven't heard good things about KotF so I'll pass on that can of worms.
