And is it just me or do those planes look really cheap? Maybe it's just for the dev version I'm still crossing my fingers for having money left after I buy my B-17 though.

It's better to buy planes (and put them in service) now, then just having them sitting around.

Note that if you look at the article and read its wording. it shows that you have to wait to research the planes. So you should buy everything you can now or you will have to wait for the research to happen (or spend gold eagles to instant research I'm sure)

As it appears there will be a amount of time for your engineers to research the new plane.

I bought 11 planes and put them into service last night... over 7 mil in lions... ouch!

Now I plan to do some serious grinding on Japanese and American nations until the patch!

After re-reading again... there is no mention of putting them into service just buy planes... ugh! I could have bought more planes last night!

We wanted to make the introduction of the new progression system non-problematic for both new and experienced players that is why all achievements, obtained modifications and purchased planes will remain. But please note that planes that are unlocked but not purchased will have to be researched once again in 1.37, because the whole system will be completely different. So you have some time to purchase aircraft you are interested in!

No they are cheap because now you have to wait for a plane to be researched. So instead of large fee for instantaneous access. You spend a small fee and wait for your engineers to research it. At least i believe there will be research times now from what I have seen and ready anyway.

though I'm sure you can spend GE to instantly research something.

Don't feel bad... when I logged off last night I had 2950 loins left after buying my Death Star! I have bought a total of 21 planes in the last 8 days... YeeHaw! ... and if the patch hasn't happen I will at least buy one tonight maybe two!
