    Default Jet tips? (F-80C)

    Hi there,

I just joined AOD yesterday and I'm not new to WT - but I am new to the concept of fighting in jets in this game - and damn do I suck at it.

I currently only own the american F-80C (which I have read should be amazingly overpowered etc. on the WT forums) - but in my hands it's pretty useless atm.

So please share some advice fighting in this jet or just jets in general (kinda hard in general I know, since the planes are so different) - but I need to get the grip of this.

Thanks for your help guys :-)

It's "overpowered" because it often fights prop planes and the old school german jets(which used correctly can be very dangerous).
We have many people using the F80C atm, feel free to join us in the RB channels and we'll squad up and teach you too.

Tip #1. Build up your airspeed before you start to climb. You need 300+ IAS MPH to be even close to having a decent rate of climb.

Tip #2. Keep your speed up. Jets accelerate very slowly when they are slow. If you are caught slow in a jet fight, you are in BIG trouble.

Tip #3. Be gentle with your maneuvers. The plane that will win the fight most of the time is the plane that has more speed / more altitude.

I wish I could offer more tips, but I'm relatively new at Jets too.
