    Default Looking to try WT

Hey guys, I'm currently a full time member in World of tanks, but I've been watching some war Thunder on twitch and I think I'd like to try it. Do any of you have any advice on starter planes? Or really any general advice would be much appreciated.

I won't be back from a training exercise until about Friday, but hopefully I can play with some of yall then!

Well, you'll be starting out with the reserve planes (biplanes for all factions except US & those are very fun to play). I liked them more then the starter tanks in WoT. Just have some fun with those, you'll get the hangh of it rather quickly.

    Hello Brom,

When you start WT you go through a tutorial just like WoT. You start off with Bi-planes and research more planes as you play.

Of course, we are all here to help just jump down in our section of Vent and ask!

You are going to get hooked! :)

In addition, we can get you your AOD(E) in-game tag assigned to your in-game name (Represent!)

Many pilots of the time were the opinion that a fighter pilot in a closed cockpit was an impossible thing, because you should smell the enemy. You could smell them because of the oil they were burning.

Oh very cool! Thank you for the quick responses. What types of matches are there? Is it all death match, or are there objective based matches too?

In Arcade battles there are domination maps, where you fight to control airfields, also ground strike maps where the win depends on eliminating all the ground targets. In Realistic there are objectives too but most times the match is won by killing off all your opponents.

    Honor
More precious than gold, and once tarnished, nearly impossible to recover. Words, actions, and deeds all reflect this. It is the one thing you truly own. Guard it well.

Realistic is the way to go ;)
But nah, start off on arcade and get a feel for the game. Realistic can be pretty frustrating.
Just wait, soon enough you will have planes and tanks wooo!

PLAY YOUR FIRST GAME AS RUSSIAN, I believe they are still doing the thing where the first nation you play with gets you a free premium plane. Of all the starter premiums the zhucovskys chaika is a beast.

USA, Russian, and Brits are the three easiest low level.

At mid level the german and japs are easiest

at high level brits and germans (T4, they peter out in T5) are easiest, though USA, Rus, and Jap aren't shabby either. (well ok the japs are because they only have 1-2 good planes high level)

Don't focus on one nation move between them all. If you are going to focus on one nation atleast do your once a day free daily double in each nation. that along will push the other nations along while you focus on one. if you want.
