Pacific "Hidden" base. I know many dislike it. I like it due to it's "line attack" ease. That is,if spawning on either side,You can take either a left/right/or straight ahead route and if done right, engage not only destroyers,but landing craft and the enemies airfield. Great fun for the fighter/bomber.If a straight dog-fighter,not many maps test Your Situational Awareness skills like a map with tight/high cliffs and pillars,along with subterranean cave flights,which are FUN as hell when chasing an enemy!

I kind of like all maps in Realistic Mode accept getting pretty tired of Hokkaido.

I wish we could change planes in Realistic Mode once we see the map, some maps are just horrible to bomb with and others are great. I know there are certain maps where pilots just quit at the beginning because of the plane they have selected versus the map they are given.

As for Arcade, I haven't seen my favorite map since I started mixing in some Arcade again and do not remember the name but it was the Domination map with only one air strip... that map was a blast!

As for Arcade, I haven't seen my favorite map since I started mixing in some Arcade again and do not remember the name but it was the Domination map with only one air strip... that map was a blast!

I agree with Avi. This map was the best. But since we have to go with "current maps", I'd have to say Hidden base as well. The terrain makes it so much more exciting when you don't know who you may pop out on, or who will pop out on you. Plus I love the close-in-ness of the buttresses and islands, this map is like the great leveller for those of us who have trouble fighting at altitude.

That is because the map is a low tier map...."light vehicles" so you have to fly biplanes and low rank 1's to get it.

It is still in game me and seven played on it the other day...in reserves planes when he unlocked his brits.

From the old days (when I just started the map I liked 'Rice terasses' the most (at least I believe that it's called that way but by the name you should know what map I'm talking about... As for domination maps, I prefer Stalingrad.

I like African Canyon a lot as well - probably because it was my first "real" map after all those newbie ones (Stalinggrad Ground Strike and whatever..)
But it looks sweet and even better so with a P-40 with North Africa-camo shooting down Bf 110s...

I still manage to get B´n´z´ed to death by Bf 109s, Fw 190s in my Zeros on that one - I suck..! I like how it looks visually though. On Crater, those destroyers always shoot me down....
