Guess I'll keep my money

And suddenly, my desire to buy the Rift vanished into nothingness.

Did you hit him? Did you hit him again?
Yep I am thinking the same thing.
There is still a small chance of hope for it though, right? right?
But 2 billion is a lot of money.

I think the gaming world is too pessimistic about the Facebook buyout of VR technology. It might actually EXPLODE VR gaming. We might have RIFT-like inexpensive PC/console gear in our home FASTER now that a major corporation is investing in VR.
A quote from the article Irtar hyperlinked above:
"Over the next 10 years, virtual reality will become ubiquitous, affordable, and transformative, and it begins with a truly next-generation gaming experience. This partnership ensures that the Oculus platform is coming, and that it's going to change gaming forever," said the VR firm.
I have been waiting for VR gaming in my game room since I first tested a huge bulky VR game in Salt Lake City, Utah, at a demo in 1993. We have been waiting far too long!
Give us VR!!!
