Dead Space was an amazing game. It's got a few bugs with v-sync and the control scheme, but there are fixes and you should in no way not play this game because of them.

It is kinda clunky and it's a weird off to the side 3rd person veiw but if you like scifi and enjoy scary it's still a great game. And the sequels are better

I think the Dead Space 2 was better than the first as far as level design is concerned. The claustrophobic feeling is much better in the 1st one. The third one is essentially just a Gears of War clone, and while I still enjoyed it, it's only because I'm a huge fan of the series. Overall, I found the third one very disappointing

I've played both several times and I like the second one more. Note: don't play in the middle of the night during a thunder storm

i'll say this: dead space is the first game that truly scared me and made me not want to play since silent hill. i also played this game on the hardest difficulty and still haven't beaten it. its truly survival. you may get a few hundred rounds every few hours of playing. the other two are action horror. not too much survival.

Turn VSync off it makes it a lot better. Still definitely clunky though.
