Budget PC

Hello Everyone,

I generally don't build budget pc's but a friend of mine is looking to get a new computer. He is currently on a laptop and it can't play any games at all from what he is saying. His budget is max 600 bucks, now to me this is a small budget but i am not sure. His goal is to get a PC that can play todays games and not fall over dead is this possible? He doesn't have anything to upgrade from but does have a TV which i told him he may have to use as a monitor untill he gets more cash becuase a monitor would cut into the already small budget he has. So i'm thinking something like this

- Case
- CPU
- Motherboard
- Video Card
- Hard Drive
- DVD [unless blue rays have come down]
- Ram
- Mouse
- Keyboard
- Thermal Paste

Think thats a bare bones pc right there

Does he need a copy of Windows included in the $600?
$500 Build w/ Win7 & $100 leftover for Mouse/Keyboard

Thanks guys! passed that on to him. He'd need a OS as well aye, i'm sure his laptop didn't give him a real copy of windows with it lol

Guess if i just look at the bottom it will tell me that it was updated on 09/04 lol
