WarThunder CDK now available....

Hate flying the same boring maps,day after day *Yaaawwwn.. Tired of that TierIV plane that is just,ho-hum? Then,use the new content development kit dloaded in 1.39 update and show em how to do it!Cockpits,full planes,maps,missions,all of it. For now,planes/missions created will only be able to be played alone,and not available on WT. In near future,planes,cockpits,etc will be judged and if found worthy,included on WarThunder as a premium plane! Creators will receive a % of the planes sold.When,and if the plane is added to the regular line-up,a % of the plane's RP will be figured into the creators account!

I'll be working on maps/missions. Primarily for CAS and fighter-challenging enviroments

Cool feature! I am probably too lazy to do anything but cool skins for P-51s and P-47s. And possibly maps where Fucker-Wulfs cannot negotiate the canyons, lol...

I started playing around with the level editor. I think AutoCAD is easier to learn and more intuitive.

Crashes when I try to run it. It says "You need to install CDK to the same folder as War Thunder client!" on the download page however there's no path selector in the setup and installs by default to C:\Program Files (x86)\WarThunderCDK

Any ideas?? I have WT installed through Steam which puts the client in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\War Thunder

Looks like the installer auto detects the warthunder installation folder, for me it installed it on warthunderDev folder, u can simply copy the cdk folder to your warthunder installation folder and then just edit your shortcuts on the desktop to the new location.

Example: the shortcut "C:\Program Files (x86)\WarThunderDev\WarThunderCDK\dagored.cmd"
is now "C:\WarThunder\WarThunderCDK\dagored.cmd"

to change the shortcut just right click on the icon>properties> and change the 'target' and the 'start in' fields then hit apply

Did not work for me, copied the CDK folder to my WarThunder folder, cdk files are now in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\War Thunder\WarThunderCDK\

edited shortcuts, still crashes. Made new short cuts, crashes.

so after some research i found a forum thread that might be helpful http://forum.warthunder.com/index.ph...ese-solutions/, if u are 2 bored to read all that (probably you are) try to copy The Warthunder folder under C:\Program Files (x86)\ and then reinstall the cdk If the cdk dont go in that folder u will have to move it yourself.

Last hope download the gaijin installer from the website make a new clean install after you uninstall the game from the steam client. and reinstall the cdk after you remove the old instllation (100% success but 2 much time)

PS: the CDK only works on 64bit systems.

Thanks. Mine is 64 bit. I'll try making a WT copy in C:\Program Files (x86)\ and reinstalling. Shouldn't make any difference unless they have a string length limit on the path (stupid) or have the path hardwired (even more stupid), but that may be what's going on since there's no path selector on the installer.

Didn't work either. Might do a fresh download from Gaigin tonight when I go to bed, or just say ^%^%&^& it.
