    Default Upgrading the computer.

    Hi guys!

We got talking about options for upgrading the computer. Basically I'm looking to upgrade it certain portions at a time. The Processor being a duo core is the biggest bottleneck for me, and the number one priority for replacing it. And I know that upgrading my processor entails upgrading my motherboard and RAM.

I can keep my Video Card (GTX 560), hard drive and case (for now). I'm currently running Vista X64.

Here is my current case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129058 Just to make sure everything fits. And I have an 800W power supply.

My budget is roughly $250 to $350, with the high end only being for a good deal of good equipment. I'm not looking to pull the trigger right this moment, so all options, deals, and sales are on the table.

I suggest keeping an eye on Bundle deals from Newegg, Tiger Direct and Micro Center.

I usually buy CPU's from Micro Center as they have a tendency to have the best prices. Other things Micro Center can have really good prices on are OS, RAM, drives and cases.

something to think about. intel will be releasing their new broadwell processors possibly end of this year or beginning next year (last i heard). chances are when the new stuff comes out the old stuff might get an extra price drop to it as well
