Thoughts on gaming mice
I am looking into getting a new mouse, I play MMOs but not a lot, so not really looking at an MMO mouse. I was considering a Logitech G502 Proteus core. Anyone have this mouse? Any thoughts reviews on it??

Yo blinkem, G502 by Logitech is my favorite mouse right now. Been using it for about a month now and I have to say it is awesome. No complaints about it whatsoever. The software is anothe matter though, the software doesn't work on windows 8.1 so if that is what your running your not going to want to get the software, but if you have multiple computers download the gaming software from Logitech onto one a computer that isn't running 8.1 and save all your setting on to the mouse. Hit me up in game any time if you have any questions.

Knee High to a Worms Ass
Steel Series Rival.
You're welcome.
I paid $60 for mine as a pre-order directly from Steel Series but someone was saying on vent the other day that they got one at Best Buy for $30. I highly recommend you at least try it out and if you don't like it (I LOVE mine) you can always return it and try something else.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue
Mice are something pretty hard to "tell people" about ..
I use the G700S and just love it .. BUT .. i had to go in store and try them.
There's more than how it looks :
Wireless or not or BOTH (like the G700s)
Laser or optical ?
Ergonomics : How it feels when you put your hand on the mouse, how heavy it is .. etc..
Buttons : How many buttons do you REALLY need ?
Here's a decent review .. im sure you can find more ..

That's actually one of the reviews I read. I def would like to see how it feels other than that I'm liking the customization of everything including weight

Up until around last November I used a Razer Copperhead that I got in 2005 and never considered replacing it until finally a button gave out. I replaced it with a Razer Deathadder and I am loving this mouse as well. If you buy one just make sure you purchase the RZ01-00840100-R3U1 model. There was an older version of the mouse that had some driver issues.

Hey Blickem, i think a mouse is down to personal preference. As mentioned above go and try some out in store, find one that feels comfortable and the right weight. Some key points from my opinion:
- Laser not optical (high dps is good but there is no reason to get stupid high as some are)
- Get wired not wireless (there as a degree of lag with wireless no matter how good, plus performance degrades as batts burn out and theres nothing worse than being in fire fight and batterys die!)
- a decent mouse mat, and maybe a rest. I bought my last one with a rest build in, because of my sitting position has been a lifesaver!

Save your breath. You'll need it to blow up your date!
I have owned two superb Gaming mice, one was the Rahzer DeathAdder, the other was the Logitech G500. The DeathAdder is my current mouse, and I love it, but it is a tad too small for my large hands. The G500 was very nice but the cord malfunctioned and stopped working after a while. but it had an adjustable DPI setting and three side buttons as compared with the Rahzer's two side buttons. both have incredibly large DPI settings but one word of caution, many reviews online note that the synapses software for the deathadder bricks it on occasion, I have not had this experience but it is something to be weary of.
