let us know You're ok.If You're in need of something,get w/AOD_B.Rubble. I have MAD contacts in the Bay area *all the way to the east bay indeed* as well as local information for red cross,etc.

for those NOT in the know. There was a est. 6.0 *richter scale measurement. No "moment magnitude scale' measurement released yet. Widespread light damage. Some fires,gas main breaks,water mains,etc. Several roads suffering deep/long cracks causing closures.Several bridges in the are,including the Richmond span, suffered some damage, crews on the way to assess/repair as able. CNN/CNNi has coverage of it fairly steady right now.

naaa. It was only a little shaking. It was a run ride on the bed though. started looking around for where to put a quarter to keep it going. It was small enough here that even our baby slept through it. I live about 15-20 miles from the epicenter. Thanks for the offer though.

Good to hear Cloud!

I remember only two nice size earth quakes, one when I was in grade school Manhattan Bch and my mom jumping on my bed which woke me... then I realized that my bed was on the other side of the room. We got this crack in the ceiling of our house that ran the entire length of the house.

The North Ridge quake now that was a show! I was driving home from Gardena to Lakewood on the freeway at night and all of a sudden I start seeing bright blue explosions below... at first I thought we were under missile attack. Then once I took the off ramp and saw the lights out everywhere I realized we must of just had an Earth Quake. The explosions I saw were the transformers exploding. We were without power for quite some time but no damage. I never felt the quake while I was driving and I was lucky to not be on a section of freeway that Collapsed.

I was never really worried about Earth Quakes in Cali but these dam Tornado's in the Midwest are scary!

was on a football field about 103 mi from epicenter of the 89 Loma Prieta earthquake. The field "rolled' in 6 waves,the light standards swung through about 6' of arc,2 fell. Almost 20yrs later,working for Post Office,I delivered to a Bay area town called...Sunnyvale,dam near ON TOP of the loma prieta fault. huge 2in. crack running through parking lot/dock/structure. From the 89 quake. Living in Cali you get used to quakes,day/night.Many little ones happen often. In Cali,if its 3.0 or less its a "Temblor'. Above?Actual quake.

east bay here, i was celebrating by anniversary and didnt feel a thing. well not from the earth anyway *wink wink
