A few observations I had on the environment...

    1) The woods look completely barren. A few log cabins or homesteads wouldn't hurt.

    2) I'm not a big fan of how the woods does a hard transition into the city center. Suburbs would not be out of place.

    3) Standard amenities in the city would be useful, like a gas station, grocery store, etc. Normal stuff you would find in a town.

    4) The overpass leading to...? Sticks out like a sore thumb.

    5) Given the current size of the city, high-rises might not be the best option.

Take them as you will, just a few observations I made.

    1. There will be more added obviously this is just what it looks like at the moment, Dave has been working on this none stop and has been working on the city and everything.

    2. The place is over grown there would be more tree's around but it would lower the FPS meaning there would be extreme lag and it would be harder to play with the amount of tree's around as you can see by all the destroyed cars you can see no one has been there for awhile so why would dead people go around with a wood choppers axe and chop tree's down?

    3. More buildings will be added from my understanding most of the buildings will be enterable so really there is no need for that.

    4. The overpass has been destroyed meaning no one can go on it unless you are attempting to leave the city area.

    5. No reply to that yet.

That's my opinion on my questions earlier anyway

Best of luck man, but with what is currently up and as I'm posting this nothing has been pledged of your extremely lofty goal... Well, best of luck!

    Let the dream live!

I don't know much about game-production, but the ability to make a good looking game like that is impressive alone. I wish you good tidings, and may you learn much in the process.

Not quite familiar with Kickstarter, but it doesn't seem like you'll reach the goal in due time. What happens afterwards? Do you try updating the project's page and try a new kickstart?

I'm going g to let this one run out, then I will progress a little further and make it a little more pretty and get some AI in there. Once I have done that I will create a new kick starter with better vids and pics.

    3) Do you have anything playable? Not expecting the open world everything, but at least a proof of concept. Something you could make into a demonstration video or the like.

    4) Who is FoundryGames? The members, their experiences, and how they can guarantee a successful project for someone's investment.

This Kickstarter is very Spartan for something you want to raise that much money for. I know you say in the kickstarter there will be things on the website once it goes live, but it isn't live yet. You need to get something to catch the eye on that page (other than your handsome mug) to get investors. It just needs... more.

Disclaimer: I have never created a Kickstarter before. I am merely trying to be helpful and constructive based off of successful and failed kickstarters I've seen in the past.
I have to agree rather strongly with Irtar here in particular with point 4. When trying to create a kickstarter you effectively have 2 major goals. 1: Advertise and sell the product. 2: advertise and sell yourself. pictures, videos, and descriptions are all about advertising the product. What you intend to make, your vision. But who are you to realize this vision? More so in games than maybe any other industry i am aware of "the idea guy" is all together too common. Having grand ideas of what game could exist or what a game could be, you can get from damn near any gamer on the planet. So what sets you apart? What have you worked on in the past if at all? do you have experience doing game development or other programming? any education in a related field? what makes you better than a monkey basically. In many ways you and or your companies resume needs to be present in some form. We are hiring you to make your vision after all.

As something of a side note Irtar's point 2 could also help. give a full breakdown of where each penny will go as much as you can. Take the game Skull girls as an example. they made a kickstarter to make 1 new character and said it would cost $150,000 and called it cheap! they funded it and beyond because they detailed completely where every penny was to go and many experts in the field backed them that such a break down was legit.
I guess before doing this whole thing again look at what some successful kickstarters look like. maybe get some help putting together your first offering or have someone just give some feedback before you post it.

P.S. as one extra gripe what you do have written is nothing more than a wall of text and is actually hard to read through without skimming. maybe some clear sections and headers? just better layout.

I'm sure you do intend to put some more info on that page, some WIP screenshots an such would definitely help.
I'd also really suggest you make a video with you talking about what the game is. People (including me) are too lazy to read on something you might not be interested in :P

I also agree with Jeno. And keep up the good work man. I'm sure it will be successful as long as you keep working at it and as long as it is something you are proud of you can never go wrong :)

    Dave is a developer.
Obviously you wouldn't know that due to you playing Planetside 2
Dave has developed the Arma 3 server, by himself and have worked his way up ranks for over 3 years, he has created his own mods on Arma 3 and has even done what the DayZ Developers cannot.

    Few Links.

Note, that all off these have been done by himself, coded everything in himself and has worked harder then anyone else in the Arma 3 division, also all the work that has been done so far on the game he has done himself along with the buildings, everything he is doing is alone, he has no help.

Please do some research before you post, dave is one of the Best Developers within AOD.

All of which is pretty cool. But how do you expect your average person (AOD included as you pointed out) to know any of that from what is in his kickstarter?

They are not, the kickstarter that is currently up is closed as he has stated.
The reason it is up is because he cannot cancel it, he has to wait for it to run out to start another one that will be 90 days.

The next one will be more updated and will have more of a description
