Ok so i started a few weeks ago knowing nothing about Adobe After Effects. I've sat through hours of tutorial videos learning how to use it
This is my result, let me know your thoughts, and be kind in your comments, it has taken me about 8 hours in total (could prob do it all in 2 now lol)!!!!
Its only 6 secs long for all that hard work, screaming and shouting (watch in 1080 if you can)

noice although the text needs to be more distinguished, it blends in too much with everything else happening, the eyes can't keep the focus on the text and the animation. Make the text stand out and keep the animation and it will be awesome.
P.S. designer's advice :D

a few more notes, the glare from the light stays on screen until the end just above the text on the left, green dot. The explosion and text need to be together, maybe wrap the text inwards? So as the explosion is beginning to develop start wrapping the text inwards, then as you nearly reach the centre and the text can't be seen behind the explosion, wrap it quickly outwards and change the opacity quickly and drastically so it like evaporates like smoke. After you wrapped it inwards to wrap outwards you can do it above the explosion but with very low opacity and blurry the hell out of it, so the text is barely readable but so the viewer can see that it was the text that blew up ;)

Nice Job! As far as suggestions, I agree w/ Tishka, but I also think that you could improve it by making it a tad bid shorter.
But seriously, I'm impressed. Excellent work.

Aside for the few comments Tishka made it looks great! And Gt54esd, honestly it was th effect length for a intro. I to short 2-5 sec and not to long 9-12sec, I think it was perfect
