After watching it again, I do see that handgun! It almost looks like a Colt .45!!!


Oddly, I wasn't overly angry when this happened. I was more surprised. Initially, I thought someone was behind me, which is why I spun around. After seeing nobody there, I saved a replay to review later. That's when I noticed I was shot down by the plane in front of me. The one I was shooting down.

Personally, I subscribe to the 'magic bullet' theory.

Plane you are chasing fires forward .... bullet travels for 100 metres, stops, hangs in mid air, turns itself around, remains hanging in mid air, you fly into it.

Deflections of bullets off of enemy planes are possible (though not very likely).


If you still have the replay of that match, as well as the Game Log (the .clog file), I'd send it in to Gaijin ASAP. I wouldn't call it cheating, just that something very weird happened. Do it here: http://forum.warthunder.com/index.ph...-model-issues/


War Thunder is a Server Side game, as opposed to a Client Side game. All the actions you do first get sent to the server, and are verified, and then back to you and everyone in the match before they are considered to have "Happened." So 99.9999% of the time when you see something on the monitor, that's the way it is. So it's very unlikely that he pulled some sort of trick, and drifted behind you, and shot you.

I thought about deflection 2 but the yak got the kill .
But i believe that would count as a "crash" the same way when you bomb your self.

It looks to me like the tracers are going in reverse. Really weird. If you still have the replay, see if you can make a slo-mo version. That would be cool.

I have had this happen a few times, never sent in a report. I know I have said something to other squad members the four or five times it has happened. Very strange, if they give you anything other than reported I would like to know. Have been some frustrating moments here lately.
