Naval Discussion

Being a history buff like I am, playing war thunder to me is more than just a game. It is a way to fly and drive the historical icons I have spent a disproportionate amount of time learning about. So as time progresses and more and more machines are added I am disappointed to find there is no news coming as to naval forces. I have heard the opinion many times that Gaijin should fix what is in the game already and when that is done start working on more tanks and in the future ships. While this is a completely valid point I would like to see at least something on what their plans for ships and future ground forces development are. I cant wait for the day that i can que up in my Yorktown class carrier (hopefully it will be "Big E") and watch from afar as the battleships tear each other apart and i am just sitting there throwing torpedoes and bombs in there direction while simultaneously keeping the torpedo and dive bombers off the backs of my BB's. So in a round about way I am just wondering. What does everyone hope to get out of the future naval forces? Opinions on future ships and ground forces development and what your opinion as to what they should focus on in the future is?

Well, I would expect to start hearing something very soon from Gaijin. Especially considering that World of Warships has already made their announcements and are in closed beta.

that is probably a good point but to not have heard anything about it up until this point makes me wonder what they are thinking and what the approximate time table would be.

I'm with you. Naval battles would be awesome., but they really do need to fix a few bugs that are already in the game.
Development of Naval forces would be a code writing nightmare. The possibilities of more bugs is endless.
I really hope they can pull it off though. I can't wait to captain my own destroyer.

I do know that there is said to be no subs. Everything in the game is above sea level. To do underwater would require an entirely new physics engine.

I was trying to start a discussion to see who was looking forward to naval forces and what they wanted etc. Granted that did not turn out exactly as i had hoped.
