    Default OBS Help

I tried running OBS on my computer, and it's not recording in the full resolution of my computer. I've set the settings to record the full screen, but in reality it only records a portion of it. My screen runs at 1920x1080, and the recording looks like it's 1024x768. When I force the dimensions to 1920x1080, it caps the whole screen but the cursor is stuck on the mini-size, independent from the recording. Anyone know what's going on?

Check your downscaling setting. Let me know if that doesn't work.

Downsizing is set to none. It's interesting that when I select monitor as base resolution, it automatically changes itself to 1280x720.

Could it be that since my auxiliary graphics card is not powered when not in use(laptop), OBS can't find a resolution and it defaults to that size?

OBS does not seem to recognize the Intel HD Graphics as a video adapter, so it's only able to find the other graphics card.

OBS not recognizing the graphics card could and probably is the issue.

I tried enabling the card by running a game, and now I solved one issue with the size. Looks like dual screens was messing with it. Now it senses it as 1920x1080. However, this is the output now:

It's showing the screen to scale now, but it's only capturing part of the screen. The cap appears to be that 1280x720 resolution from before

It looks like you are showing your OBS window in the screen. Kind of like if you have mirrors back to back ?

It looks like you've got your recording resolution wrong.

Go to Video, have your base resolution to the resolution of your monitor. Then you want to have your resolution downscale to whatever you wish.

For example, for a 1080p 16:6 monitor. You want your Custom Res to be 1920*1080 and your downscaling to be 1.5 to give you an output of 1280*720p.

That is my output of the base resolution with no downscaling. That's why I'm confused.

I'm thinking screenshots of setting might help here.

I might be tempted to try something else. My settings seem to be exactly the same.

    FFSplit is an OBS alternative.
