An idea I've been playing around with

Hey all,
So I got bored the other day and wanted to play around with some updated AOD logo styles. I know LOTS of people aren't thrilled with that idea, but you miss 100% of the kids you don't abduct. Least I think that's how the saying goes. I'm open to all suggestions, ideas, critiques, compliments, dirty limericks, and whatchamacallits.

I was going for a Warhammer 40k style insignia with some basic Clan Forum Rank badges to match. Like I said, with some basic foundation laid out, tweaking stuff is pretty easy.

I think the major issue is it would be like Nike suddenly switching to

Fan of crescents or not you recognize the current logo as Clan AOD's, switching that logo would mean an image switch across all media, it would also create a visual disconnect and confusion with any previously released media using the "old" logo.

That is why I tried to keep some similar elements. An update to an existing logo that's starting to show its age, without doing a 180, isn't always a bad thing, in fact it can help bring even more positive attention to your company, organization, etc.
