So HTC is partnering with Valve to make their new VR headset, RE Vive. The developer kit is coming out this spring and the specs are suppior to the oculus dk2. The consumer version will be out Holiday 2015.

Dunno how wide spread VR will be adopted, but the industry is sure going all in.
