    Default Need some help guys

OK I'M GETTING FRUSTRATED, SOME DAYS IT'S PERFECT OTHERS IT'S GETTING FU**** PISSING ME TO NO END. HERE GOES AND SORRY FOR THE CAPS , DURING GAMEPLAY AFTER RUNNING FOR A FEW HRS BATTLEFIELD WILL SLOW DOWN ,GET CHOPPY ,BE NORMAL AND DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN. I HAVE TO RESTART MY PC TO GET IT TO WORK AGAIN. I KNOW ITS BF4 BECAUSE WHEN I TRY TO STOP THE GAMEPLAY IT TAKES FOREVER TO GO BACK TO WINDOWS, I CANT GO TO THE TASK MANAGER BECAUSE IT SEEMS WHILE BF4 IS SHUTTING DOWN NO OTHER PROGRAM WILL WORK, ONCE IT SHUTS DOWN COMPLETLY THE COMPUTER WILL WORK PERFECT. WHATS GOING ON MY FPS IS 60 RUNNING EVERYTHING ON ULTRA BECAUSE I SEE NO DIFFERENCE IN GAMEPLAY BETWEEN LOW AND HIGH. MY PC SPECS ARE AS FOLLOWS.

    A8-5600K 4.1 GHZ
    120MM LIQUID COOLEER
    12GB DDR3 1600MHZ
    POWERCPLOR R9 270X DEVIL 1200MHZ CORE 1500 MHZ MEM 2GB
    120GB SSD MONSTER
    1TB CAVIAR BLUE
700W (80+)BRONZE SEMI MOD ATX RAIDMAX

ANY SOLID HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

Unless you have some other sort of hardware monitoring software, install hwmonitor (http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html) and check what temps you're getting. Slowdown occurring after a time period could be your card getting hot and throttling itself, especially pushing a 270x to run it on ultra. Also, which drive do you have the game installed on, and what OS.

Windows 8.1 has been shown to provide better game performance than W7 across the board. If you're on W8, you should definitely move up to 8.1.

That, however, is unlikely the cause of your plight... Timmee is very likely right in saying you GPU is probably throttling itself heavily after slowly heating up to ridiculous temperature. If you're running any software GPU boost or OC, I recommend scaling it back to reference speed, and tweaking the fan speed profile to run at 100% speed just below (5-7 below) your tested peak GPU temperature. This will help keep it cooler, at the expense of it sounding like a 747 taking off.

My advice comes from experience too; I've got an ASUS R9 290X DirectCU2, which is factory boosted by an ASUS app to 110% GPU clock. I used to have some stability issues (occasional CTD, sometimes full system lock after weird graphical artifacting,) and it all went away when I killed the ASUS OC app entirely, and ran the card at pure reference speeds.

run the perfmon (performance tab of task manager) and see if the slow downs are coming from hard drive thrashing. I had a machine at work with 8 on it with a 2600k and browsing the web would thrash my disk usage and cause the machine to lag. If so, look at moving the game files to the SSD.

I was having the same issues and I just upgraded from 6 gb memory to 16 gb and it made a BIG improvement. I still get lag at times but it is nowhere near what it used to be.

I have an A 10 kavari and I run I to a simmer issue simple game restart usually fixes it. Check your other programs running. Like steam or even if you have other browser Windows open. Browsers can be memory hogs

For sure, I play spotify for music a lot and had it in the browser. I had random frame drops that didn't go away (Dropping 40-60 frames).

I downloaded their application and haven't had a problem since
