Seems cool, one area that is lacking in the market for many newer security cams, is one that is not cloud dependent (but offers modern functions without going to the enterprise level) (e.g., crappy dropcams where if the company goes out of businesses, or decides to shut the servers down, or decide to start charging for previously free functions, then the device that the user paid good money for can instantly become an expensive plastic brick).

Anyway, can the device record to a NAS?
It will be great to see a device that will record on its own, but also allow a user who wants to do more advanced analysis, e.g. using sighthound for object/ people recognition for better filtering and rule making, thus more redundant operation.

Source code is included, if it is supported in Debian, its more than likely supported. As far as the device, it isn't included in the web interface due to the FiFo set for the USB storage.
