DaveSchilling has popped over to good old Blighty for a few days, and he is staying at the House of Toe.
Today we went to RAF Duxford, which is Britainís best-preserved Second World War airfield, with a fascinating history that dates back to the First World War. Its historic buildings sit alongside contemporary exhibition halls. Through the rich displays of iconic aircraft and the powerful stories of the men and women involved, it shows show the impact of aviation on the nature of war and on peopleís lives. With one of the finest collections of military aircraft, tanks, military vehicles and artillery, it shows how technological development impacts on war and conflict.
