    Default Hardline Question.

I noticed a bunch of you on my friends jumping on Hardline. How is it? I don't like taking random youtuber breakdowns of how good a game is. I'd rather hear what people I play with have to say about it before I think about investing. So whats the deal? Worth it?

Hardline is a game that is much faster paced than other battlefield games, games will last from 2 minutes to 30 minutes.
One thing you will find is the TTK (Time to kill) is extremely fast as you will die from three to four bullets to the leg. But you do the same to other people shooting them twice in the chest and they die
The game in my opinion is really fun, but aggravating... If you are easily angered from dying a lot or from people running around with one shot killing RPGs I would stray away from this game.
I have been frustrated by the fast TTK, but then again I also kill people with 2-3 bullets.
If you like Call Of Duty type of gameplay you real enjoy this game with its hotwire modes and TDM.
If you like Counter Strike, there are hostage and VIP safety modes that are really fun.
If you like that wide open BF4 feel, conquest large is there for you.
I would recommend that you get it, but I would ask others for their opinions before you spend $60.
NOTE* This game is not a re-skin of BF4, if anyone tells you that then they are high as hell.

What I can say is that Payday 2 does the criminal thing better, GTA v does car chases better, Call of Duty does the infantry only thing better, and Counter strike does the 5v5 thing better. This game doesn't bring much to the table in terms of freshness. It's a nice stray away from your typical Battlefield half-mil-sim, but other than that there isn't much to praise. Five weapons per class is quite low. The assault class is once again adaptable as hell having exclusive access to carbines and assault rifles covering CQC to medium-long range with one weapon while the mechanic, support, and professional classes are stuck with either or. A shotgun for cqc or a battle rifle for medium-long range. Some weapons are arguably overpowered and weapon balance is in a guttural state. The campaign was better than 4&3s campaign put together but still feels like a waste of time. You don't get anything out of it except battlepacks. I feel like Visceral didn't take enough risk with the criminal theme of the game and stuck with what they knew. Spending 30,000 for one gun that you can only use on one faction is poor game design as you can't choose which faction you're on. Granted you can get 1000 something kills to use it on the other faction, but I feel that is an unecessary drawback to this system. Hotwire is a crap mess with the 1/100 chance that an actual car chase will happen. (most people just spin in circles and get to the top of the leaderboard). All in all the game needs work. Lots of work. $60 is not a justified price for this game with its lack of content, balance issues, and bland execution. This is all my personal opinion and others may disagree.

To counter some of primes points...

While there aren't as many weapons as bf4, each weapon class takes on a more defined role. Lots of weapons isn't necessarily a good thing. Of the vast selection of weapons in bf4 the majority of players only use a handful of them. In the long run it is easier to balance a small choice of weapons as opposed to an overwhelming selection. Many of the choices in bf4 are completely outclassed by other weapon within their class. Is there really any benefit to having these "clutter" weapons in the game?

As far as the in game unlocks. Spending 50k on a weapon is nothing. 50k can be earned in less than an hour's time. The great thing about this unlock system is that you can buy the gun you want right off the bat. In bf4 you had to grind get to the latter unlocks.

Gofish hit the gameplay stuff pretty well. The high ttk can be both rewarding and frustrating depending on which side of the gun you are on.

The new game modes are fun. I really like blood money and heist. I'm not as big a fan of hotwire as others, but it's a good mode for banking cash.

Is it worth it? That's entirely up to you and how much you value $60. I enjoy the game and will continue to enjoy it going forward.
