    Default Accepting a Promotion

There are TWO steps you must follow in order to formally accept your promotion, they are as follows:

    =-=-=-=-=Your Forum Profile=-=-=-=-=
Go to Settings > Edit AOD Member Profile

Update your rank to your new rank, and double check that your main game and status is set correctly.

    =-=-=-=-=TeamSpeak=-=-=-=-=
Change your nickname in your AOD server bookmark. To change it temporarily right click your name and choose "Change Nickname".

If you cannot follow these couple of steps when you get promoted, the promotion will be revoked. If you have any questions do not hesitate to get a hold of you Platoon Leader and they will be happy to help you out :D

Default How to put yourself on LOA

    How to go on LOA!

    - Set your forum member status to "On Leave" in your settings (top right) http://www.clanaod.net/forums/sarcoth_profilemod.php
    - You ABSOLUTELY require an ending DATE for your LOA. If it is inaccurate then drop us a line <when it time has passed and you know more specifics.

    - If you are going on a long LOA (1 month or longer) then you are required to post. We prefer you do this in the division structure.
    - Anything more than 2 weeks you need to let your leadership know. This is particularly true for those in the very active competitive company.
    - If you are going on a short LOA (Less then 2 weeks), don't worry about it, but feel free to let your Platoon/Troop Leader know.
    - You're welcome to post in the chat sections in addition for details for all of us, but that's totally optional.

Default Being on TeamSpeak - How and Why

As a member of AOD, you must be on TeamSpeak whenever you are playing any game supported by AOD. You should also talk to that division about getting tagged and becoming part-time there.

Just because you must be on the AOD TeamSpeak , you are not required to talk all the time. You may go to the Quiet Room, or mute yourself while in channel. You may also talk with your friends on Mumble, Skype, Teamspeak, telepathy, whatever. Just be in our TeamSpeak while doing so.

The reason for this - At a minimum we need to see you online and get in quick contact with you. Also if anyone is not required to be on TeamSpeak , then people are going to see that, and think that they don't have to be there when playing either. Next thing you know, instead of this nice big TeamSpeak full of 350 people, we have just a few sergeants on talking about their various collections of who had the picture with the goat in it.

If you need to start a second copy of TeamSpeak , it is very easy. You right click on your TeamSpeak shortcut, click properties, and then add -m to the target script that you see there. It should look something like this when you are done with it. You add the -m at the end yourself, outside of the quotes.
    "C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\ts3client_win64.exe" -nosingleinstance
The two TeamSpeak windows share settings but you can choose a unique Bindings and sound profile set so you only talk in one.

This is a hard and fast rule of the whole clan, straight from the top. If for some reason you think you have a valid reason were you can't be on TeamSpeak while playing the game, come discuss it with the CO of the division. There are situations that arise where limited exceptions can be made. But know that without direct permission from the CO, you will be held accountable for being in game and not being on TeamSpeak, which will result in removal.

Default Code of Conduct - Examples and Detail

The following is our Code of Conduct, broken down with examples and detail. It has become apparent that some individuals don't understand the CoC (or pretend to), so we decided to add definitions to each of the 12 items that make up our Code of Conduct so there will be no misunderstanding.

AOD Code of Conduct - Examples and Detail

The Angels of Death Code of Conduct is the face of our clan. Not only is it a guideline for member conduct, it is also a statement about what kind of gamers we are, and who we're looking for. All members agree to the Code of Conduct upon being accepted into the clan, and are expected to uphold the code at all times. Our code ensures that our members conduct themselves respectfully and preserve the respected image of the clan.

Violation of the Code of Conduct will result in removal from AOD.

    1. Strive to conduct ourselves in an appropriate manner

    • Do Not Team Kill Ever...( If someone Team Kills you or a member of your team do not kill them. (Unless they turn Blue) Take a screen shot and send it up the chain of command.)
    • Do Not Suicide - Ever...( Killing or damaging your self in anyway shape or form to get out of a match or to keep another player from killing you.)
    • Exception to 1b - ( Battle leader orders you to go die to give the team the upper hand i.e. To Block a Bridge ,Road, Path exec.)
    • DO NOT Trash Talk Players, Clan's, Guilds, Or Group's. ( Do Not Insult, Demoralize, or Name Calling of Any Kind... )

    2. Offer help to anyone who seeks it, if it is possible

    • If someone asks for help do your best to help them even if it's not an AOD member as they could be the next AOD member.
    • If you can't Help them find someone that can if possible.

    3. Project a positive image of yourself and the AOD clan to others

    • Every thing you do while wearing an AOD tag reflects the way People see AOD as a Clan.
    • HONOR is honesty, fairness, or integrity in one's beliefs and actions.
    • LOYALTY in faithfulness to commitments or obligations.
    • RESPECT is the right of everyone.

    4. Put the needs of the clan first, above personal goals

    • If the clan needs something, help them achieve it before completing your goal.

    5. Support members of AOD

    • We are members of Angels Of Death so help all of AOD not just your division.
    • If AOD asks for help with anything you can help with please do so.
    • If any AOD Member asks for help then help them or find someone that can.
    • If you see an AOD Member having a bad day, try and cheer them up or even suggest a break.

    6. Attempt to resolve personal differences directly with the concerned individual(s)

    • If you and another person are having a problem with each other try and talk it out. Be nice and calm about it or take a break before doing so.
    • If the above will not work get a arbitrator ( a neutral third party ) to help settle the problem.
    • If still unsatisfied follow the chain of command and bring it to their attention.

    7. Remind other AOD members of expected conduct in a tactful, non- threatening way, and if possible, in private

    • Ask them to go to a empty channel or in private chat and remind them of our Code of Conduct.
    • If neede, give them a link to our CODE OF CONDUCT

    8. Promote fellowship within the game community

    • Be respectful to players and offer assistance.
    • If you notice someone that is having difficulty playing the game or use a weapon or doesn't understand modules or equipment, offer them assistance.
    • Helping people earns you gratitude. Hey, they just might be the next AOD member. Which in turn helps AOD grow.

    9. Do not condemn or humiliate other clan members

    • Treat everyone as You would want to be treated.

    10. Win and lose games honorably, show sportsmanship

    • Only say positive remarks. If you can't, then DO NOT say or type anything.

    11. Maintain AOD loyalty

    • LOYALTY is faithfulness or devotion

    12. No comments about politics, religion, skin color, or sexual preferences. We are here to play games.

    • If anyone is doing this ask them to stop . If they will not stop find a Sgt or higher from any game division to assist you!
    • Do not even talk about yourself on these topics.

    Default AW Leadership Duties

    Titles
PLEASE BE AWARE RANK IS A PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT. JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE GAINED RANK OF SPEC OR ABOVE DOES NOT MEAN YOU KEEP IT WITHOUT DOING THE JOB! YOU HAVE EARNED THAT RANK BECAUSE YOU WERE WILLING TO STEP UP AND GO ABOVE AND BEYOND THE NORMAL. IF YOU CHOOSE TO STOP STEPPING UP YOU EITHER NEED TO STEP DOWN OR WILL BE TOLD TO STEP DOWN!

    AOD Ranking Structure
All AW leadership are first and foremost AOD officers, and are expected to follow those duties set about in the AOD Ranking Structure. Follow this link to see the ranking structure for AOD.

    http://www.clanaod.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3326

Within the AW Division, we have established these detailed titles/responsibilities and their respective rank targets:

    Responsibilities Common to All Positions

    • Follow and promote all AOD policies and core values
    • Perform duties of lower ranks and positions as necessary. You are responsible for those below you - and their duties if they aren't doing them.
    • Check your PMs/Forum at least once a day when possible
    • Assist other officers with learning and/or performing their duties, and assist all members with questions.
    • Keep yourself abreast of any changes in AOD and AW policies, rules, and game mechanics. You can't very well help someone if you don't know the answer either.
    • Run Activities, Platoons and/or Company Battles to help acclimate new players to the Clan
    • Communicate your schedule to the next person up the chain, we need to know when you'll be here to perform your duties.
    • Search the Public Games for potential Recruits and send them our way if they measure up
    • Remind members of the rules and their obligations. Do not cause confrontations, if there is a problem with someone, pass it up the chain or get a Sergeant if it is urgent.

Additional Responsibilities Per Rank and Position

    Specialist
You are automatically a recruiter if you are a specialist or above. See recruiter tasks below. In most cases Specialists are platoon leaders.

    Lance Corporal
You are expected to have recruited at least 3-5 members at this point. In all likelihood you will be leading a troop or a large platoon at this rank.

    Corporal
It is expected you will have participated in the recruitment of at least 10 members at this point. Corporals are generally placed as company deputies, at the head of very large troops, and given significant special tasks.
In addition to this, you as a Corporal are holding a rank that suggests the possibility of being groomed for Sgt. This is not a small thing, your job is to help the Sgt’s with policing the AWSection of our forums, and if you see anything that shouldn't be there to notify a Sgt immediately. You are also to assist with any duties you may have outside of the normal, be that you are asked to help with recruitment documents, pruning the members list for people that have left, to assist the Sgt’s in general in anyway you are asked. The more you offer to do, the more you are showing you have earned this rank and are potential for being suggested to the higher ups for Promotion.

    Sergeant
Sergeants are in charge of day to day activities. They are here to assist the members and are the leaders of this division.

Recruiter (Spec +) [Must be Spec+]
If you are a Specialist or above, you are expected to be a recruiter. This is a taught job, so if you are new, you may find yourself being dragged into recruitments to learn the process. If you do not participate in this process, you may find yourself back at Pfc.

Battle Leader (Spec) [May be Pfc or Pvt]
Your primary task is to focus on developing strategies and leading Tank Companies and Clan Wars. If you need advice or training, it is best sought in person not on paper, and you should seek out the other battle leaders. Specs in this position are expected to assist and motivate newer battle leaders or those having difficulties.

Platoon Leader (Spec and LCpl) [may be a Pvt or Pfc if being considered for promotion]

    • Get to know your platoon members and help them get acclimated to the Clan and to each other.
    • Ensure your platoon members are familiar with the AOD COC and policies.
    • Submit promotion recommendations to your Troop Leader no later than 2 days before the end of every month.
    • Keep a tab on your guys and to see that they join TS when in game and are posting actively on the forums.
    • If a member is not wearing tags, send them a PM on the AW Forums asking why and send a PM to your Troop Leader at the same time. If you find a member is wearing tags for another Clan, send a PM to your Troop Leader and Company Company Deputy/Commander immediately.

Troop Leader (LCpl and Cpl) [may be a Spec if being considered for promotion]

    • You are responsible for your Platoon Leader's tasks if they are not completed. If you need assistance with this let your Company Deputy/Commander know.
    • Keep tabs on your Platoon Leaders like they watch their Fire Teams. You are to make sure they are doing their jobs, if not, then you need to let your Company Deputy/Commander know immediately.
    • Ensure your Platoon Leaders have submitted their Promotions to you no less than 2 days before the end of the month for your review, and submit your entire Troop's Promotions to your Company Deputy/Commander at latest 1 day before the end of the month.

    Company Deputy (Cpl+)

    • You are responsible for your Platoon and Troop Leader's tasks if they are not completed.
    • Keep tabs on your Troop Leaders like they watch the Platoon Leaders. If you have an officer not performing, you need to have a talk with them. Remember that your job is not to cause confrontation, if you do, then you are the problem not the person you are confronting. If this is not resolved with a single counseling then you need to notify your Company Commander and Division Sergeants.
    • Ensure that Promotions are to you by the last day of the month so you may review them and submit them to your Company Commander on the last day of every month.
    • Ensure that all leadership positions are filled with capable people. If you have a vacancy, keep an eye out for potential candidates from your troops. If you have some, submit this recommendation to your Company Commander.

Company Commander (Sgt+) (May be Cpl if working closely with Division Sergeants)
You are ultimately responsible for the duties of your company's command staff as well as the general day to day operations of your company. You have earned this position, if aren't sure what to do then you should have a chat with the Division CO as to why you are occupying this position.

    Default Cheats and Hacks

AOD is an honorable clan and anyone caught cheating in Armored Warfare will be removed from the clan. This is the first and only warning.

For Armored Warfare, there are currently no known cheats, but if anything does surface, don't ever give in to the temptation.

    Default Full-Time / Part-Time Status and Multiclanning

    Full-Time / Part-Time Status
AOD is a multi-game clan and any member is welcome to play any (or all) of the games we support with us and under our banner.

All AOD members are considered Full-Time in their primary game (division). If you play any other game which our clan supports, by all means join in with our other divisions as a Part-Timer and play. If you are planning on making another game we support your main game, please inform your platoon or troop leader. We do this to maintain organization in each division. A transfer will be arranged between divisions, and ultimately must be approved by the CO or representative of the division you are joining.

A member can be Part-Time in multiple divisions but Full-Time in only one. It is expected that your priorities lie with your Full-Time game. i.e. - If you are online and playing any of our games and your Full-Time division has an activity, you are expected to be there and not playing in a Part-Time game.

    Multi-Clanning
Multi-Clanning is being a member of a different clan that is active in games for which AOD also has a division. Multi-Clanning is PROHIBITED. Failure to abide by this will get you banned from the clan. There are no exceptions to this!

Currently we have active divisions in several games, please see our forum index for a full list: http://www.clanaod.net/forums/forum.php . Please consider this when placing your application, as there are no grandfather clauses, and it will apply to you from day one.

You have not had your interview yet, you will be sent a PM with the TS details - which you are not permitted to share with anybody - and invited to meet an officer for an interview. The interview takes 20 to 30 minutes and as part of the process you will get both forum and TS permissions granted, plus you will get the in game AOD tags on all servers you play. Then you will be introduced to all members of the division that are currently online and no doubt invited to join in with the team game almost instantly.

If we openly advertised our TS details it would get trolled and that would ruin the facility for everybody so I hope you understand that it is just to help ensure all members get to have fun.
