    Default Transfering Game Data

Is it possible for me to say get a 3 tb drive and take the info from my 2tb drive and put it on there?

After this then unplug the other drive, then change the name of the second one to be the same [drive letter]

Or is the registry actually taking into account the drive's internal ID in its linking of data?

Some games\software do generate their keys\paths using HWID or GUID generated based on HWID|SUID. So you'll have to re-install in those cases

but generally speaking most games\software only care about the path.

As long as the drive letter & folder path is the same. it should be fine.
