    Default Best sniper rifle?

So I've been trying to find what sniper is the 'best' sniper particularly for doing what they're made to do, you know, snipe. at 300m+ and I've been spending a good time on youtube looking at weapon reviews and then time on symthic, and I've come to the conclusion that the JNG-90 is the best sniper rifle, On paper atleast. the only advantage of say the SRR-61 over it is the further damage drop off at 150m as opposed to 100m, both weapons ending in 59 dmg. This confused me greatly as the JNG-90 is a fairly quick unlock, and the SRR-61 is the last unlock, why would they make the JNG-90 outclass the last unlock by such a significant margin? (namely the furthest possible range and highest muzzle velocity) although I have noticed the JNG-90 is a bit clunky to use or atleast feels that way but for its far superior stats, it doesn't feel like enough to make me use another rifle. I was wondering what you guys' take on this matter was? any opinions are appreciated.

Honestly, I find that the more I obsess about the numbers behind the gun, the worse I am with it.

I use the SRR just because it gives me a nostalgia boner from my MW2 days (intervention).

If I had to pick the best sniper rifle, I would say the FY-JS for hardcore.

For everything else, I use the M40A5 with iron sights because I feel like a hunter stalking prey in the woods.

The JNG-90 is a newer weapon than the SRR I believe. (BTW the real best sniper rifle in the game is the M82 weapon you pick up off the ground. Want to snipe? Pick that bad boy up.)

I think it's mostly down to personal preference. Well, some of it is. Personally, my favorite sniper rifle is the SV-98.

I know there's different stats and things with different guns, but I think it's just best to go with what suits you.

I'm big into Extreme long range sniping (700m+) So high muzzle velocity is generally going to be a good thing to have to hit a moving target which is most of my targets as people rarely sit still for smaller maps I'd like to use a suppressor which nearly halfs muzzle velocity (JNG-90 still have best muzzle velocity) to keep me off the minimap when there's a bigger risk of being attacked from behind. and as for personal preference I'm not even sure what I like, I've used the m40a5 more than anything but thats just because I didnt want to really use the starting rifle. and as for pickup weapons, I try to not rely on them ever if possible because they have limited use and you can't spawn in with them or resupply them.

If people could spawn in with one hit-kill sniper rifles, nobody would ever finish a match lol.

I don't really try to go for the battle pickups as often as I used to, other than the grenade launcher. Seems to be the only one I can use effectively.

I've been mainly using the SRR and have been very successful with it lately. After the recent weapons patch I may go back and try some of the others again.

I confess to a torrid love affair with the Gol Mag.

The SRR also has a 6m/s squared vs 9.81m/s squared bullet drop rate, which means that the farther out you go the less you have to adjust for bullet drop. It actually falls at a slower rate than gravity.

This is the reason I use the SRR exclusively when I snipe. I find I can get headshots more easily with it than any other rifle, and that is how I like to do it! But in the end, you'll probably get all kinds of answers from people due to personal preference, such as you already have. I prefer mid-long range sniping if I'm going to snipe so naturally I like the SRR for its low bullet drop, but others may prefer a closer range sniping or iron sights, etc, which the SRR would suck at.
